The pro-US reporting of the crisis in Ukraine has showcased the utter hypocrisy of US imperialism in its condemnation of Russian acts of aggression that it itself has committed time and time again on other nations it seeks to keep within its sphere of influence. This is reflective of the lack of similar coverage it has allowed of its own wars and militarism for most people to draw upon to counter its narrative. Images of US-led war have even been disengenuonsly credited to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, such as a picture of an Israeli-bombed apartment in Gaza. There have also been blatant attempts to instill mass outrage over the situation using racist, Eurocentric and anti-communist comparisons of Russia and NATO countries or Ukraine and countries in the global south. There is a need to combat these narratives and win over more forces to the Resist US-Led War Movement. Counter Attack aims to:
Expose the pro-US media bias on reporting around the Ukraine crisis and the historical blame it holds for the same crimes it accuses Russia of in other instances of war and aggression
Oppose the pro-US prop with visual and written presentation of facts and analysis
Celebrate the struggle of the people against war and militarism that is left out of the pro-US media
