Global Coalition Launched Week of Resistance to Stop War on Venezuela, Demand Release of President Maduro & First Lady, and End ICE Terror
January 27, 2026 – A broad coalition of over 160 international peace, solidarity, and social justice organizations successfully convened a Week of Resistance from January 23rd-31st, and showed this unity and determination in a mass online rally on January 25th. This mobilization was a direct response to the escalating U.S. military invasion and occupation of Venezuela, the kidnapping of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores, and the concurrent deployment of ICE agents to terrorize migrant communities within U.S. cities. The coalition declared that the attacks within the US and the aggression on sovereign nations are parts of one interconnected system of imperialist war. "The U.S., in its lawless quest for full-spectrum domination, is killing us," stated the coalition's call to action. "The same state forces unapologetically take lives in our neighborhoods and in Venezuela. We must build a material resistance that is evidence of a people united." The Mass Online Rally on January 25th featured an international roster of speakers from anti-imperialist movements from Manila to Caracas. January 25, 2PM EST Register here: tinyurl.com/handsoffvenezuelarally In the face of blatant, illegal U.S. attacks on Venezuela, popular movements around the world have taken to the streets in support of their Bolivarian Revolution. U.S. special forces operations, after months of massive deployment and build up of military forces in the Caribbean, President Maduro and Cilia Flores were kidnapped on January 3, charged with bogus “narco-terrorism” and conspiracy on January 5 and remain prisoners of war in NY. The Venezuelan people are resisting and we must support them. We must continue to defend and stand alongside the brave people of Venezuela, against U.S. terrorism and destabilization. From Gaza to Caracas to the Belly of the Beast, we must have coordinated and organized resistance against imperialist war for sustained and growing international solidarity. Join this online, international rally to say no to US military aggression; hear from international activists taking urgent action and coordinating resistance from around the world; and commit to the fight for sovereignty, independence and just peace. We understand that this is not a singular moment, but a continuation of the decades-long war on the Bolivarian Revolution to destroy Venezuela’s sovereignty, blockade the country’s economic and military alliances, and isolate the Venezuelan government from forming alliances with other Global South countries on their own terms. The U.S. revamped “America First Strategy” aims to outcompete its rivals such as China and Russia, while reasserting exclusive dominance over the western hemisphere, in line with the Monroe Doctrine tradition. The rally will also be a platform to strengthen our collective mobilization for a coordinated week of resistance January 24-January 31 to target strategic political pressure points to stop the war on Venezuela in solidarity with the people’s resistance in Venezuela, Latin America and the Caribbean. Join us to share and align concrete strategies and tools to organize:

The U.S., in its lawless quest for full-spectrum domination, is killing us. The stakes could not be higher as the same state forces unapologetically take lives in our neighborhoods, in Venezuela, and across the globe. The U.S. wages consistent attacks and war against the peoples’ will and national sovereignty. Understanding clearly that our common enemy will stop at nothing to enforce its imperialist agenda, this moment demands that we confront our concrete targets head on, building not just moral but material resistance that is evidence of a people united. Given the stakes of the moment, we must be strategic and tightly coordinated in our efforts to mobilize consistently and effectively. That’s why we call for resistance against the militarized infrastructures that enforce U.S. hegemony and domination, in a focused effort to disrupt the U.S. war machine so we can build structures and systems rooted in just peace and genuine self-determination. We understand that the call to mobilize and sustain our solidarity- in a more concentrated and militant way - will advance the broader anti-imperialist movement. Demands: Stop the war on Venezuela!
As a part of our growing collective resistance, we call for a week of action:

Resist US-Led War call for action, January 23, 2025 Calling for solidarity: We invite our network to show solidarity with the people in Trinidad and Tobago who are facing far right policies designed to destabilize their communities under a new Zones of Special Operations bill being currently considered (as of Jan 23) in the national Parliament. To support members and allies are invited show support to: 1. take photos with the placards 2. Make posts with the photos ASAP and use the hashtag #NOtozosoTT 3. Release statements to expose the Zones of Special Operations to show the international pressure against US neocolonialism and strong arming policies that will hurt the people. Placards for photo campaign: https://www.canva.com/design/DAG_PxlNH6U/Tin4rCgt7jLpUGvyCKAh7g/edit?utm_content=DAG_PxlNH6U&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link2&utm_source=sharebutton The Trinidad and Tobago islands are home to a people who have fought against colonialism, by the British, Spanish, French, and Dutch; and neocolonialism by the US and have been subjected to Trump like policies under the most recent Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar of Trinidad and Tobago of the United National Congress (UNC), a party in Trinidad. Instead of looking at the roots of crime and poverty inflicted by neoliberal policies in Trinidad and Tobago, the United National Congress (UNC) is proposing a crime bill that will place the people under intense police violence, surveillance and at risk of arbitrary and illegal detention, called the Zones of Special Operations. The U.S. repeatedly uses "wars" on drugs and gangs as pretexts for intervention and militarization. In Haiti, the "Gang Suppression Force" uses this narrative to suppress the populace. In Trinidad and Tobago, security partnerships with SOUTHCOM, formalized via operations like Tradewinds, are publicly promoted as combating crime and delivering aid. However, these efforts primarily serve to advance U.S. strategic dominance, embedding Trinidad within a broader framework of militarized control over the Caribbean region. In Trinidad and Tobago, as the US recently has deployed troops, military equipment and installed a new radar base - using Trinidad and Tobago as part of the launching pad for operations in Venezuela. While the Trinidad and Tobago government ramps up the crack down on poor and oppressed people internally, it aims to destabilize the communities there, at a key time while their resistance and regional unity to fight back against US imperialism is urgently needed and being organized by the people! This latest invasion in Venezuela is no different. We invite you to the next network meeting to understand the U.S. imperialist strategy against Venezuela in order to better take action together against these imperialist offensives. This network meeting will be an opportunity to come together across our international anti-war movement to learn from each other and discuss how we can best rally in solidarity with Venezuela in its fight for sovereignty and independence. Join the emergency national and international call for actions Jan 3-5, sign onto the unity statement, and share the graphics/posters to show and broaden a united response of rage, condemnation and resistance against US war on Venezuela. Urgent Call for a Week of Coordinated Protests – November 15 – 23 Calling all antiwar, peace and justice, union and solidarity activists! An emergency network is calling for local actions, large and small November 15-23, 2025 as well as urgent actions within 24 hours of any major U.S. escalation. Organize rallies, street meeting, vigils, speak-outs, teach-ins, sign holding at busy intersections, banner drops, protests at weapons manufacturers or Federal Buildings and events where pro-war politicians show up.
This is a build-up to another endless U.S. war – a war to militarize the whole Western Hemisphere. Meanwhile the use of Federal troops and thousands of ICE agents in raids and mass arrests, along with massive increases in health costs and cuts to government services, are an attack on all working people in the U.S. Using the false claim that it is combating drug trafficking, U.S. missiles have murdered crews of small boats (43 killed so far from 4 countries) off the coast of Venezuela, without evidence or due process of law. At the same time, they are sending their troops and ICE agents to our cities, with the false claim that they are fighting crime. They allege there is no money for SNAP benefits or healthcare benefits while the rich are getting yet another tax cut. This move towards all-out war has nothing to do with drug trafficking. Venezuela has the greatest known oil reserves in the world – five times the U.S. oil reserves. The Venezuelan government refuses to be dominated by the U.S. It is determined to use its own oil, gas, coal, diamond and gold resources for healthcare, housing and education for the people of Venezuela, not for U.S. billionaires. The US attacks and open threats of regime change in Venezuela and Colombia are a blatant violation of international law. It is time to take to the streets and resist these U.S. government and corporate attacks on people in Venezuela, Colombia, all Latin America and the Caribbean, while militarizing and repressing the people of the U.S. Let’s join together, November 15 – 23, and build actions in cities, towns and campuses throughout the country. Let the war makers know that we are opposed to war on people anywhere in our Americas – a zone of Peace across our hemisphere. We will continue to mobilize in local and regional actions in December, focusing on the December 17thAnniversary of the death of Simon Bolivar, “The Great Emancipator”, against colonial domination. Resist US-Led War!
